About
As a graphic designer with more than a decade of experience in the Advertising industry, textiles were never on my radar. Other than the small blip of 8th grade Home Ec., the concept of quilting as a hobby had never entered my mind. That is until one day, while browsing my favorite blogs at work, I stumbled across a photo of a simple patchwork quilt. Its colors were soft and summery and made me think of strawberry lemonade. And that one image stirred some creative desire deep inside that I hadn’t known existed.
I hoarded fabrics long before I ever bought a sewing machine. The colors, the patterns, the very tactile feel of the fabrics fascinated me. In 2010, after two years of collecting fabric, I taught myself to sew a basic pillow cover. In 2013, I created my very first quilt, a simple patchwork, as a gift for my daughter’s second birthday. I found myself hooked. Quilting quickly became much more than a hobby. It is a passion that I pour myself into each and every day. It is a creative outlet, a practical skill and, perhaps most importantly, a form of self expression.
In the past few years, I have had the incredible pleasure to work with some of the industry’s finest manufacturers and most talented designers. I am always happy to discuss capabilities and potential collaborations and can be reached at [email protected].
